SKF Unveils Advanced Eco-Friendly Technologies at ISEA Tech & Innovation Summit!

SKF India has unveiled a range of innovative, eco-friendly bearing products and maintenance services at the second ISEA Tech & Innovation Summit, showcasing its commitment to improving machinery efficiency while reducing environmental impact. These advanced technologies aim to enhance equipment performance, extend service life, and significantly cut down on the carbon footprint across various industrial sectors, including energy, cement, and heavy industries.

A highlight of SKF’s exhibit was the SKF Energy Efficient Deep Groove Ball Bearing, which was developed specifically for compact industrial motors. This cutting-edge bearing reduces friction by over 25%, significantly improving motor performance while extending the service life to twice that of traditional bearings. In addition to offering enhanced efficiency, the bearing also helps reduce carbon emissions, making it a sustainable solution for energy-intensive industries. The product has already gained approval from several leading Indian equipment manufacturers, further cementing its reliability and effectiveness in real-world applications.

SKF also introduced sealed spherical roller bearings, designed for high-demand applications such as high-pressure grinding rolls (HPGR) used in mining and cement industries. These advanced bearings drastically reduce grease consumption by up to 99%, a significant step toward minimizing waste and improving operational efficiency. They also last up to three times longer than conventional bearings, resulting in lower maintenance costs, reduced downtime, and improved overall performance in high-stress environments.

To complement these offerings, SKF launched four-row cylindrical roller bearings, ideal for handling heavy radial forces and axial shifts. These bearings offer superior lubrication, greater wear resistance, and enhanced corrosion protection. They are particularly beneficial for industries that require durable solutions to withstand demanding conditions, such as in steel manufacturing or large-scale industrial machinery.

SKF also focused on providing solutions for low-speed, high-load applications with the introduction of specially designed spherical roller bearings. These bearings, tailored for sectors such as power generation, cement production, and textiles, are engineered to operate with reduced friction and lower operating temperatures, contributing to improved energy efficiency and longer operational life in demanding industrial applications.

On the services side, SKF introduced a unified solution for large-size bearings, offering remanufacturing options, real-time monitoring systems, and tools aimed at improving reliability. These services have already proven successful in industries like sugar processing, where SKF’s offerings have helped extend bearing life by up to a decade, while also reducing delivery times. This comprehensive service package enhances the overall reliability and performance of industrial equipment, contributing to cost savings and operational excellence.
