Siemens Energy to Build New Electrical Grid Manufacturing Facility in Mississippi!
Siemens Energy has announced plans to invest up to $300 million in a new manufacturing facility in Pearl, significantly expanding its footprint in the state and strengthening its role in supporting the US electrical grid. The project is expected to create up to 300 advanced manufacturing jobs, underscoring the company’s long-term commitment to domestic manufacturing and workforce development.
The new facility will focus on the production of critical electrical grid components, supporting growing demand for reliable, resilient and modern power infrastructure. As utilities and grid operators across the United States invest in grid expansion, modernization and energy transition initiatives, Siemens Energy said the Pearl plant will play an important role in meeting these requirements with locally manufactured equipment.
This expansion builds on Siemens Energy’s long-standing presence in Mississippi. The company’s Richland facility has been in operation since 1973, serving as a key manufacturing and operations hub for more than five decades. The new Pearl facility represents a major next step in scaling capacity and aligning manufacturing capabilities with evolving grid needs.
According to the company, the investment reflects both rising market demand and the strategic importance of strengthening US-based supply chains for energy infrastructure. By expanding production in Mississippi, Siemens Energy aims to improve delivery timelines, enhance supply chain resilience and support customers as they adapt to increasing electrification, renewable energy integration and grid reliability requirements.
State and local officials have highlighted the economic impact of the project, noting that the creation of hundreds of skilled manufacturing jobs will contribute to regional growth while reinforcing Mississippi’s position as a destination for advanced manufacturing investment.
With the Pearl facility, Siemens Energy continues to expand its North American manufacturing base, positioning itself to support long-term energy infrastructure development while building on decades of operational experience in the region.
