Mitutoyo America unveils new shop floor CNC CMM!
Mitutoyo America Corporation, a global leader in precision measurement technology, is proud to announce the launch…
Alcester, UK – Seco Tools has unveiled its new Seco Stabilizer end mills, designed to deliver exceptional performance and the lowest material removal costs in 2-D milling applications, such as slot, pocket, and side milling. These innovative end mills feature unique flute geometries that optimise chip evacuation during high-performance machining, ensuring smooth and efficient material removal. Additionally, a SIRON-A wear-resistant coating enhances the tool’s durability, extending tool life and providing increased flexibility across various applications.
The Seco Stabilizer series includes both four-flute and five-flute variants. The four-flute models integrate a continuously varying asymmetrical flute geometry, designed to enhance performance by reducing harmonics and vibrations, while the five-flute versions feature different helix and rake angles on each flute to further improve stability and cutting efficiency.
Rob Mulders, Global Product Manager at Seco Tools, commented on the benefits of the new product: “The advanced design of the Seco Stabilizer end mills offers exceptional stability in even the most aggressive milling operations. By eliminating harmonics and chatter, these end mills perform excellently at high feeds and speeds, resulting in the lowest cost per volume for material removal.”
The specially designed flute shapes on the Stabilizer end mills are produced using shaped grinding wheels, which optimise chip evacuation during high-performance machining. This design boosts process security, enabling users to implement highly productive material-removal strategies with confidence.
In addition to its advanced geometries, the SIRON-A wear-resistant coating makes the Stabilizer end mills incredibly versatile, allowing them to be used across a broad range of materials. The four-flute tools are particularly effective in machining steels and cast iron, while the five-flute variants excel in tougher materials such as stainless steels, titanium, and super alloys. The SIRON-A coating reduces overall tooling costs by extending tool life, making it an ideal choice for users looking to maximise productivity while keeping expenses down.
With the introduction of the Seco Stabilizer end mills, Seco Tools continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing customers with high-performance cutting solutions that drive both efficiency and cost savings in machining operations.
