
Schaeffler India Showcased Future-Ready Mobility Technologies at SIAT 2026!
Schaeffler India Ltd showcased its next-generation automotive technologies at SIAT 2026, presenting a comprehensive portfolio focused on electrification, efficient powertrains and smart mobility solutions aligned with India’s rapidly evolving automotive landscape. The company exhibited its technologies at Hall Zone D, Booths 341 and 348, engaging with OEMs, engineers and industry stakeholders over the course of the event.
At SIAT 2026, visitors explored Schaeffler’s electrification offerings, including electric drives, motors and modular systems, alongside advanced powertrain solutions for internal combustion engine (ICE) and hybrid vehicles. The display also featured chassis components, smart sensors, fuel delivery modules and friction-optimised bearing technologies designed to improve efficiency, durability and performance in next-generation vehicles.
The showcase reflected Schaeffler’s strategy of supporting multiple powertrain pathways as the industry transitions towards cleaner and more intelligent mobility. By addressing electrified, hybrid and highly efficient ICE platforms simultaneously, the company underlined its commitment to helping Indian OEMs manage technology transitions without compromising performance or cost competitiveness.
Speaking at the event, Viswanathan Sambasivam, Division Head – Powertrain & Chassis India, highlighted that SIAT provided a strong platform to demonstrate how Schaeffler is shaping mobility specifically for India. He noted that co-engineering with OEMs, faster technology transfer and deeper local value creation remain central to the company’s approach, with the showcased solutions representing a significant step toward cleaner, safer and smarter mobility.
Omkar Kulkarni, Division Head – E-Mobility India, emphasised India’s importance as a global engineering hub for Schaeffler. He stated that local teams are actively designing and developing solutions tailored for Indian requirements while leveraging global expertise, reinforcing the company’s “design in India, build in India” philosophy.
Schaeffler’s leadership also played an active role in the technical programme at SIAT 2026. Madhurisha Vippatoori, Chief Technical Officer, Schaeffler India, served as Session Chair for the Testing & Evaluation track on Day 1, while Deepak Kasturi, Head of Innovation India – System Engineering & Advanced Development, delivered a keynote on “Euro 7 Insights: Shaping the Future of Real-Time Emissions Monitoring” on Day 3, addressing upcoming regulatory and technology challenges.
