Rego-Fix PowRGrip Toolholding System Enhances Precision and Vibration Damping for Improved Machining Performance!
Rego-Fix USA has introduced its PowRGrip toolholding system as a solution engineered to deliver enhanced precision, optimized vibration damping, and extended tool life across a wide range of machining applications. Designed for stability when machining parts made from virtually any material, the system focuses on improving overall process reliability while supporting superior surface finishes.
At the core of the PowRGrip system is its press-fit clamping technology, developed to provide high concentricity and consistent performance. By minimizing vibration during cutting operations, the system helps reduce tool wear and improves dimensional accuracy. Enhanced damping characteristics are particularly valuable in high-speed and high-precision environments, where even small vibrations can negatively affect part quality and cutting tool longevity.
The PowRGrip tool clamping and unclamping units are engineered for efficiency as well as precision. Featuring automated tool setters, the system can load a tool into the holder in under 10 seconds, helping shops maintain productivity without compromising accuracy. The unit achieves a clamping torque rating of up to 1,100 Nm, delivering strong and secure tool retention for demanding machining operations.
Precision is further supported by a guaranteed total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.0001 inch. According to the company, this level of accuracy is maintained for five years or up to 20,000 tool setting cycles, offering long-term reliability and reducing the need for frequent recalibration or replacement. Such performance can be especially beneficial in industries requiring tight tolerances and repeatable results.
Unlike some other clamping systems, PowRGrip technology does not rely on heat or hydraulics during the clamping process. As a result, tools can be handled immediately after the clamping cycle is complete, improving operator safety and reducing downtime. The absence of thermal expansion or hydraulic components also contributes to the system’s consistency and ease of use.
In addition to the PowRGrip system, Rego-Fix offers advanced coolant management solutions designed to address modern machining challenges related to heat, lubrication, and chip control. These include PG Cryogen CO₂ cooling for temperature-sensitive materials, minimum quantity lubrication technology for cleaner machining and reduced fluid consumption, and external coolant delivery systems that enhance chip evacuation and process stability.
By combining high-precision toolholding with optimized vibration damping and advanced coolant technologies, Rego-Fix USA aims to provide manufacturers with a comprehensive approach to improving machining performance. The PowRGrip system reflects the company’s focus on helping shops achieve longer tool life, better surface finishes, and more stable production processes in today’s demanding manufacturing environments.
