Hypertherm Associates has expanded its waterjet cutting portfolio with the Omax Maxiem X Series JetMachining Centers, engineered to deliver high-performance abrasive waterjet cutting with greater precision, improved usability and enhanced workflow flexibility. Designed to cut intricate geometries across a wide range of materials — including metals, plastics, stone, ceramics, glass and composites — the Maxiem X Series allows many parts to achieve surface finishes that often eliminate secondary machining.

Developed for shops seeking intelligent performance at a cost-effective investment, the Maxiem X Series integrates upgraded hardware and software features that transform both efficiency and user experience. Among its standout advancements is the latest version of Omax’s Intellimax software suite, which now includes the Intellivisor Mobile app. This addition enables remote monitoring of live cutting operations, system status checks, problem alerts, and the ability to pause machines remotely — giving operators real-time visibility and control from anywhere.

Engineered for durability and reliability, the Maxiem includes several redesigned standard features. New tank rubrails help prevent rust and reduce the risk of damage to both the catcher tank and workpiece during loading and unloading. The system also features an improved abrasive hopper with refined material containment, minimizing external spillage and improving abrasive feed performance. The 7-pound capacity hopper incorporates advanced filtration and supports an optional Abrasive Clog Detection system, which automatically pauses the machine if a blockage occurs, allowing operators to restore flow quickly and maintain continuous production.

Visibility during cutting has been improved as well, with optional underbridge lighting that illuminates the cutting table, making it easier for operators to monitor intricate details during setup and machining.

With its expanded customization options and accessory configurations, the Maxiem X Series adapts seamlessly to a variety of workflow requirements and scales with growing production needs. Backed by a global network of technical support specialists, the platform is accessible for both experienced waterjet users and shops adopting abrasive waterjet technology for the first time.

Combining versatility, intelligent software, robust construction and user-friendly design, the Omax Maxiem X Series reinforces Hypertherm Associates’ commitment to delivering next-generation waterjet systems that enhance cutting capability, reduce operational complexity and support long-term growth for manufacturers worldwide.
