Okamoto India Unveils State-of-the-Art Technology Centre in Pune to Strengthen Manufacturing Excellence!

Okamoto Machine Tool Works, Ltd., a global leader in precision grinding and polishing solutions, has inaugurated its new Technology Centre in Viman Nagar, Pune. This marks a significant step in the company’s strategic expansion in India. The ceremony was officiated by Kumaran Pakiri, Managing Director of Okamoto India, and Tsuneyuki Ishii, Chairman of Okamoto Machine Tool Works, Ltd., alongside other senior leaders from the company.

The inauguration highlights Okamoto’s commitment to advancing India’s manufacturing sector by providing world-class grinding technologies. This new facility is designed to meet the growing demand for high-precision tools and machinery within the Indian market, positioning Okamoto India as a key player in the country’s industrial landscape.

Tetsuyuki Watanabe, Managing Director of Okamoto Thailand, stressed the importance of the Indian semiconductor sector to global industrial growth, noting that the new facility would play a crucial role in providing faster service and better customer support in this dynamic market.

George Ito, Director of Okamoto Singapore, also expressed excitement about the opening, highlighting the facility’s potential to serve as a hub for ongoing engagement with customers. The Pune centre is set to provide specialized demonstrations of Okamoto’s high-precision machinery and technologies, with a focus on improving operational efficiency and meeting the specific demands of Indian manufacturers.

Okamoto’s journey in India has been marked by significant milestones. Speaking at the inauguration, Tsuneyuki Ishii, Chairman of Okamoto Machine Tool Works, reflected on the company’s 90-year legacy. Founded in 1935, Okamoto has successfully delivered over 80,000 machines to more than 20,000 customers in 80 countries worldwide. This long-standing presence in the global market underscores the company’s credibility and expertise in the field of precision machinery.
