MTDCNC Set to Showcase the Legacy of Rolls-Royce Jet Engines in Upcoming Feature

MTDCNC is proud to announce an upcoming special feature exploring the incredible history of the Rolls-Royce jet engine. Filmed on location at the prestigious Rolls-Royce Heritage Centre in Derby, this in-depth look celebrates more than a century of engineering excellence, innovation, and the evolution of aerospace technology.

MTDCNC’s Paul Jones recently spent the day at the Heritage Centre alongside Lee Scott and Simon Dutton from Starrag, gaining exclusive access to the stories and machines that have shaped Rolls-Royce’s legendary status — from its origins as a luxury car manufacturer in the early 1900s to its pivotal role in powering the world’s most advanced aircraft.

This soon-to-be-released video tour will highlight the remarkable legacy of Rolls-Royce jet propulsion, showcasing iconic engines, visionary engineers, and groundbreaking advancements in aerospace manufacturing.

The feature will also shine a light on Starrag, a company at the forefront of precision machining technology. Starrag’s contributions are instrumental in producing critical engine components — pushing the boundaries of what’s possible by making engines lighter, more efficient, and more sustainable.

“This is truly one for the history and engineering books,” said Paul Jones. “The story of Rolls-Royce is not just about engines — it’s about passion, innovation, and the pursuit of perfection.”

Stay tuned to MTDCNC for the full feature, coming soon.
