MTD target growth with appointment of esteemed Global General Manager
As part of the MTDCNC portfolio of digital marketing, news and industry insights, the MTDCNC Global channel has exponentially grown its worldwide audience and reach in the last two years. This unprecedented level of industry penetration and the subsequent viewers of our channels worldwide now sees MTDGlobal make its first overseas appointment.
To support viewers, customers and the wider manufacturing industry in the USA, MTDGlobal has appointed Tony Gunn as our first overseas General Manager. Tony has a wealth of experience in the manufacturing industry and his career path and experience has taken him through roles as a Machinist, a Manufacturing Engineering Manager, Director of Design, Vice President and International Sales & Marketing Manager. The various roles demonstrate Tony’s extensive manufacturing expertise and with the previous positions being in locations from Richmond and Washington DC to Florida and San Diego, Tony has huge insight into the US manufacturing industry.
Commenting upon Tony’s appointment, MTDCNC Managing Director, Mr Paul Jones says: When we launched our MTDCNC Global channel in 2016, we aimed to provide the worldwide manufacturing industry with insights and video content from everything from exhibitions and events to insights from inside the machine shops around the world. This business model has worked exceptionally well in the UK through parent channel MTDCNC and our vision from the offset with MTDCNC Global was to provide these insights and the benefits of video and social media to a worldwide audience. Since we founded the MTDCNC Global channel, our audience has exponentially grown and our viewing statistics in the US are sky-rocketing. To meet the demand from the US, it is a natural position for MTDCNC Global to support our viewers, subscribers and social media audience with services that are local to the audience. Tony is a great addition to the team and we welcome him into the MTD family.
