Mouser Electronics Strengthens Wearable Technology Ecosystem with Advanced Miniaturised Components for Next-Gen Devices!

Mouser Electronics, Inc., a global leader in New Product Introduction (NPI) and a premier distributor of semiconductors and electronic components, has broadened its portfolio with a new range of highly advanced components specially engineered for next-generation wearable devices. As wearables continue to gain traction across healthcare, consumer electronics, fitness, industrial monitoring, and immersive technologies, designers are increasingly required to build solutions that are not only compact and lightweight but also power-efficient, secure, and highly connected.

With the wearable technology market accelerating rapidly, the demand for miniaturised, low-power, multifunctional components is reshaping how engineers develop smart devices. Key components such as NFC modules, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity solutions, chip antennas, and MEMS-based sensors play a critical role in enhancing device functionality while extending battery performance — a top priority in portable electronics.

Among the latest additions to Mouser’s expanding lineup is Infineon Technologies’ NBT2000 OPTIGA™ NBT NFC Bridge Tag, a sophisticated module designed to ensure secure and high-speed data transfer between microcontrollers and NFC-enabled devices. This dual-interface tag supports both passive NFC and I²C communication, enabling effortless device pairing, configuration, diagnostics, and data logging. Its compact architecture also helps designers reduce Bill of Materials (BOM) and antenna size, making it ideal for smart wearables, healthcare patches, fitness trackers, and compact IoT devices.

Mouser has also introduced the Murata Type 2FY Wireless Connectivity Module, a tri-band Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® LE 5.4 solution optimized for wearables, consumer electronics, and XR applications. Packaged in an ultra-small 7.9 mm × 7.3 mm × 1.1 mm footprint, the module supports Linux and i.MX Yocto environments and provides robust high-speed wireless performance without compromising space or battery consumption.

To complement these connectivity solutions, Mouser has added Abracon’s AANI-CH series of Bluetooth/Wi-Fi chip antennas, which come in highly compact ceramic housings engineered for excellent RF performance and thermal stability. These antennas are designed to deliver reliable wireless connectivity in extremely space-constrained designs such as smart medical wearables, hearables, smart home sensors, and IoT tracking solutions.

By expanding its wearables-focused component offering, Mouser Electronics continues to empower engineers with cutting-edge technology that supports the development of smaller, smarter, and more energy-efficient wearable devices. These advancements are helping manufacturers accelerate the evolution of next-generation mobility, health monitoring, and connected lifestyle products.

As one of the world’s most trusted component distributors, Mouser maintains an extensive inventory of over 6.8 million products from more than 1,200 leading manufacturers, ensuring design engineers have immediate access to the newest technologies required to push the boundaries of wearable innovation.
