Michelin Expands Presence in Ludhiana with New Tyre and Service Hub!
Michelin India has reinforced its footprint in Punjab with the opening of a new Michelin Tyre & Service Store in Ludhiana, marking another step in the company’s strategy to strengthen local accessibility and customer service. Launched in partnership with Preet Automobiles, the new facility is located on Link Road, Gill Chowk, a prominent automotive hub in the city. The expansion aligns closely with Michelin’s plans to introduce Made-in-India passenger car tyres, enabling faster availability and more localized support for customers.
The newly opened store spans approximately 1,500 square feet and offers Michelin’s complete range of premium tyres. In addition to tyre sales, the outlet provides a full suite of mobility services, including wheel alignment, wheel balancing, two-wheeler tyres and alloy solutions. Designed as a one-stop destination for tyre care, the store aims to cater to Ludhiana’s growing demand for high-quality automotive products and professional service standards.
Preet Automobiles, which will operate the store, brings more than four decades of experience in the local automotive market. Its established reputation and technical expertise make it a strategic partner for Michelin as the brand continues to expand its retail and service network across Northern India. The collaboration is expected to deliver a premium, reliable and customer-focused experience, consistent with Michelin’s global standards.
Commenting on the expansion, Shantanu Deshpande, Managing Director of Michelin India, highlighted the importance of North India in the company’s growth roadmap. He noted that Ludhiana represents a strong opportunity due to its rising base of premium and luxury vehicle owners. The new Michelin Tyre & Service Store, he said, underlines the company’s commitment to improving customer access to Michelin’s products and services while responding to increasing demand for quality, performance and safety.
The Ludhiana launch also supports Michelin’s broader India strategy, particularly its move toward locally manufactured passenger car tyres. By strengthening its retail infrastructure and partnering with trusted regional players, Michelin aims to deliver faster service, improved availability and enhanced customer confidence. With this expansion, Michelin continues to build a robust, future-ready distribution and service ecosystem anchored in safety, durability and high-performance mobility solutions.
