Methods Machine Tools Launches National Center of Excellence in Chicago!
Methods Machine Tools Inc. has established a new National Center of Excellence at its Chicago Regional Technical Center, reinforcing its commitment to workforce development and hands-on technical training. The facility will be officially inaugurated during an open house event on April 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Spanning 7,000 square feet, the Center of Excellence is designed to deliver immersive training programs focused on technical, electrical, mechanical and product education. The initiative supports Methods’ nationwide customers and internal teams while also welcoming students and next-generation manufacturers from local schools to gain exposure to modern machining technologies and industry trends.
Training sessions are led by Methods specialists along with builder-partner and factory-certified product experts from across the United States and Japan. Courses cover the company’s full machining, applications and engineering portfolio, providing practical, real-world learning experiences tailored to evolving manufacturing demands.
In addition to the training centre, visitors to the open house will have access to the company’s large showroom, where live demonstrations and expert consultations will showcase machine capabilities and service offerings. A dedicated Student Day event for educators and students is scheduled for April 10, further strengthening the company’s engagement with future manufacturing talent.
Methods has maintained a presence in the Chicagoland region since 1996, originally operating in Elgin before relocating to its current 36,000-square-foot facility in Gilberts in 2021. The launch of the National Center of Excellence builds on that foundation, positioning the Chicago site as a key hub for skills
