Metalworking & Manufacturing Expo returns to Langley and Winnipeg with industry speakers!
The Metalworking & Manufacturing Expo (MME) will return to Langley, British Columbia, and Winnipeg this spring, bringing together manufacturers, suppliers and industry leaders for a series of one-day events focused on shop-floor technology, innovation and current industry trends. The events aim to provide regional manufacturing communities with opportunities to explore new technologies, exchange ideas and strengthen industry connections.
The Langley event is scheduled for April 8 and will feature a speaker from Seaspan, one of Canada’s leading shipbuilders. The presentation will highlight developments in marine manufacturing and provide insights into supply chain opportunities associated with large-scale shipbuilding and industrial projects. Attendees will gain a better understanding of how manufacturers can participate in marine industry supply chains and adapt to the evolving needs of complex infrastructure projects.
Later in the month, the Winnipeg edition of the expo will take place on April 28 and will include a presentation from a representative of Magellan Aerospace. With a significant presence in Manitoba, Magellan Aerospace is expected to discuss emerging opportunities and key trends shaping the aerospace sector. The session will offer perspectives on aerospace manufacturing, supply chain requirements and the technologies influencing the industry’s future.
According to event organizers, Langley and Winnipeg have become important locations for the MME series due to the strength of their regional manufacturing ecosystems and the continued engagement from local industry participants. Tracy Lelyk, the event manager, emphasized that the shows have grown steadily over the years as manufacturers recognize the value of in-person networking and technology demonstrations.
Both events will feature a wide range of exhibitors representing key segments of the manufacturing technology sector. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore machine tools, fabrication equipment, cutting tools, industrial software, automation solutions and related services. The exhibitions are designed to allow shop owners, engineers and production managers to interact directly with technical experts and learn about new solutions that can improve productivity and operational efficiency.
The return of the expo to Langley and Winnipeg is part of a broader schedule of MME events taking place across Canada. Additional shows are planned for Edmonton on May 26 and Calgary on May 28, further expanding opportunities for manufacturers in Western Canada to connect with technology providers and industry peers.
The event series is supported by several major industry sponsors including Elliott Matsuura Canada, ISCAR Canada, Mazak Canada and TRUMPF Canada.
Manufacturers, fabricators, engineers, shop owners and students are encouraged to attend the events. Registration is currently open, offering participants access to industry presentations, networking opportunities and direct engagement with suppliers providing solutions that support manufacturing competitiveness and innovation.
