MC Machinery Systems Inc. will host its 2025 Technology Summit on Thursday, October 9, at its North American headquarters in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. The one-day event is designed to bring together manufacturing professionals, engineers, and job shop owners for an immersive experience focused on the latest advancements in EDM, milling, automation, and workforce strategy. With live demonstrations, technical seminars, and networking opportunities, the summit will provide attendees with actionable insights to sharpen their competitive edge in today’s fast-changing manufacturing landscape.

The Technology Summit has been structured as a practical workshop rather than a traditional trade show, ensuring that participants gain hands-on exposure to the tools and techniques that can directly impact their businesses. MC Machinery’s applications engineers, along with respected industry experts, will lead sessions that showcase real-world solutions and innovative approaches to machining challenges. By combining technical education with practical demonstrations, the event seeks to bridge the gap between theory and implementation.

Among the key topics on the agenda are wire EDM optimization strategies, which will help shops maximize productivity and improve part quality; five-axis programming techniques, which are increasingly critical for precision machining of complex geometries; and micromilling applications for hard materials, a field that is becoming more important in sectors like medical and aerospace. Automation, another major theme of the summit, will be highlighted as a driver of efficiency and consistency in precision manufacturing, giving attendees a roadmap to scaling their operations effectively.

A highlight of the event will be the keynote presentation, “Winning the War on Talent,” delivered by author and hiring strategist Chris Czarnik. With workforce shortages remaining one of the most pressing challenges for manufacturers, Czarnik’s session will provide guidance on how companies can attract, develop, and retain skilled talent in a competitive labor market. This workforce development focus complements the technical agenda, reflecting MC Machinery’s holistic approach to addressing the operational and human resource needs of its customers.

According to Alan Hallmann, North American Sales Manager for MC Machinery Systems, the purpose of the summit is to provide more than just product knowledge. “The goal of this summit is to equip customers and partners with the tools and insights needed to improve their operations and workforce in today’s competitive landscape,” Hallmann said. The event is open not only to existing customers but also to prospects who are looking to expand their manufacturing capabilities and learn from both industry leaders and peers.

Adding a social element to the event, MC Machinery will host Casino Night on Wednesday, October 8, at The Westin Chicago Northwest in Itasca. Scheduled from 5:30 to 10:00 p.m., the evening will feature food, drinks, and real casino games such as blackjack, craps, and roulette. Dealers, customers, and event staff will have the chance to connect in a relaxed environment, setting the stage for the following day’s summit. Michelle Moody, Marketing Manager for MC Machinery Systems, described Casino Night as a unique opportunity for community building ahead of the technical program.

Both the Technology Summit and Casino Night are free to attend, though space is limited. With registration now open, MC Machinery encourages interested participants to secure their spots early. By blending technical expertise, workforce strategy, and community engagement, the 2025 Technology Summit aims to deliver an event that is as informative as it is collaborative, helping manufacturers prepare for the challenges and opportunities of the future.
