Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd launches new rotavator series in Maharashtra with enhanced design!

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, one of India’s leading tractor manufacturers and a major producer of farm machinery, has introduced a new range of Mahindra Rotavators in Maharashtra. The latest series features an updated design with a wider mast structure intended to improve durability, stability and field performance during heavy-duty tillage operations.

The newly launched rotavators will be available under the heavy-duty category within the Mahavator and Mahavator HD product lines. The equipment range covers working widths from 4 feet to 9 feet, allowing farmers to select models that match their farm size and soil preparation requirements. According to the company, the development of the new series was guided by extensive market research and feedback from farmers across India.

Agricultural operations in India often involve challenging terrain conditions and varying soil types. The redesigned rotavators are engineered to operate efficiently in such environments, offering improved handling and structural strength during intensive soil preparation tasks. The wider mast construction distributes loads more evenly across the equipment, enhancing stability while reducing wear and tear during prolonged field operations.

Mahindra stated that the new design improves both operational reliability and the overall user experience. By strengthening the structural framework, the rotavators are better suited to heavy-duty field preparation activities that require sustained performance over long working hours.

Dr. Anusha Kothandaraman, Vice President and Head of International Operations and Business Head – Farm Machinery at Mahindra Farm Equipment Business, highlighted the importance of mechanisation in modern agriculture. She noted that equipment such as rotavators plays a critical role in preparing farmland efficiently and improving productivity. According to her, the new rotavator series has been developed to deliver enhanced performance while providing farmers with a more reliable and efficient farming tool.

The rollout of the new models will take place in phases through Mahindra’s dealer network across Maharashtra. At the same time, the company will continue to offer its existing rotavator portfolio to ensure farmers have a broad selection of machinery tailored to different operational requirements.

To commemorate the launch, Mahindra has also introduced limited-edition rotavators featuring tricolour-inspired finishes. These special variants are available in Metallic Orange, Everest White and Metallic Green and will be offered on select models including Mahavator HD, Supervator and Gyrovator ZLX+.

Mahindra also highlighted its Tez-e intelligent rotavator technology, which integrates Bluetooth connectivity to transmit real-time operational data to a mobile application. This system enables farmers to monitor equipment performance and gain insights that can help improve field efficiency and operational decision-making.

Mahindra is among the largest manufacturers of rotavators in India, producing equipment designed for diverse agricultural conditions across the country. The company manufactures its rotavators at dedicated facilities located in Nabha, Punjab and Zaheerabad, Telangana, supporting both domestic demand and agricultural mechanisation initiatives.
