Magna International, a leading global automotive supplier, has announced plans to expand its operations in Piedmont, South Carolina, and establish a new satellite facility. This combined investment of approximately $200 million will create around 200 new jobs, further bolstering Magna’s presence in the region and supporting its growing customer demand.
The new 625,000-square-foot facility is slated to begin operations in Q1 2025. Along with the expanded operations at the existing Piedmont site, both locations will focus on producing automotive components for cars, light trucks, and commercial vehicles. This initiative is part of Magna’s broader strategy to enhance its manufacturing capabilities and meet the increasing demands of the automotive industry.
This investment underscores Magna’s commitment to South Carolina as a strategic hub for its operations. The creation of 200 jobs will contribute to the local economy, while the advanced facilities will support the production of cutting-edge automotive components, catering to both domestic and global markets.
Magna International’s expansion in South Carolina reflects the company’s dedication to innovation, operational excellence, and supporting the future of the automotive industry. By increasing its footprint in Piedmont, Magna is well-positioned to strengthen its role as a key player in the automotive supply chain.
