Madison Chemical Introduces ALUMA-SHINE 1028 for Cleaning and Brightening Aluminum and Stainless Steel!

Madison Chemical has unveiled ALUMA-SHINE 1028, a specially formulated mildly acidic cleaner designed to clean and enhance the appearance of aluminum alloys, particularly bright and decorative surfaces. This innovative product is ideal for use on 5000 and 6000-series aluminum, but it also delivers excellent results on stainless steel and copper, providing both cleaning and a gleaming finish without the need for brushing, drying, or buffing.

ALUMA-SHINE 1028 is effective in cleaning most galvanized and galvanneal blends without aggressively attacking the zinc coating, though spot-testing is recommended. It works well in both hard and soft water, thanks to its superior detergency and rinsing properties. At normal use concentrations of 3% to 10%, it efficiently removes plasma smoke residue, weld marks, light oxidation, water stains, and discoloration from previous processing, leaving behind a bright, polished surface. Unlike harsher acids, it avoids aggressive etching and streaking, maintaining the integrity of the material.

One of the standout features of ALUMA-SHINE 1028 is its unique blend of surfactants that minimize yellowing, whitening, and over-etching, making it easier to achieve a polished finish with less effort. This product is especially effective for cleaning challenging surfaces such as welds, aluminum tread plates, and other difficult-to-clean aluminum and stainless steel materials.

The cleaner is highly versatile and can be used in water temperatures ranging from 65°F to 100°F, with concentrations varying from 1% to 25% by volume. It can be applied through foam, immersion, or spray, followed by a thorough rinse with cold water. Typical contact times range from 5 to 10 minutes, though more stubborn stains may require up to 30 minutes. For the best results on bright aluminum surfaces, a high-pressure, cold-water rinse is recommended to ensure a gleaming finish.

ALUMA-SHINE 1028 is the ideal solution for those seeking an easy, effective, and safe way to clean and brighten aluminum and stainless steel surfaces without the risks of aggressive etching or damage often associated with stronger acids.
