LT Corp., a Cleveland, Mississippi–based industrial manufacturing group, has announced the acquisition of Commercial Metal Forming (CMF), a manufacturer specializing in ASME-code and non-code steel tank heads. The acquisition strengthens LT Corp.’s presence in the pressure vessel and metal forming sectors while expanding its manufacturing footprint in the United States.
Commercial Metal Forming is headquartered in Youngstown, Ohio, and operates additional facilities and distribution centers in Saginaw, Texas, and Orange, California. The company produces steel tank heads used in pressure vessels, storage tanks and industrial equipment across various industries. These components are essential in applications where strength, durability and compliance with pressure vessel standards are critical.
With the acquisition, LT Corp. expands its capabilities in steel fabrication and pressure vessel components. The move is expected to complement the group’s existing manufacturing operations and broaden the range of products and services it offers to industrial customers.
LT Corp. operates as the parent organization for several companies involved in propane storage equipment, pressure vessel manufacturing, steel fabrication, metal spinning and storage tank construction and maintenance. Through its subsidiaries, the company provides products and services that support energy infrastructure, industrial manufacturing and storage systems.
Among LT Corp.’s operating companies is Quality Steel Corp., which operates manufacturing facilities in Mississippi, Ohio and Utah. Other subsidiaries include LP Cylinder Service Inc. in Pennsylvania, Buckeye Fabricating Co. in Ohio, Kryton Engineered Metals Inc. in Iowa, Tate Metalworks Inc. in South Carolina and Tanco Engineering in Colorado.
By adding Commercial Metal Forming to its group of companies, LT Corp. enhances its production capacity for pressure vessel components while expanding its geographic reach through CMF’s established manufacturing and distribution network. The acquisition also supports LT Corp.’s strategy of strengthening its portfolio of businesses serving industries that rely on pressure vessels, storage tanks and specialized metal fabrication solutions.
The integration of CMF into LT Corp.’s network is expected to create new opportunities for collaboration across the company’s operating units while supporting continued growth in steel fabrication and pressure vessel manufacturing markets.
