At IMTS 2026, LNS is showcasing the latest additions to its Express Line of bar feeders, reinforcing its commitment to helping manufacturers improve machine utilization, reduce setup times, and maximize productivity. The company has introduced the new Express 346 evo and announced the upcoming Express 126, both designed to provide greater flexibility and operational efficiency for modern machining environments.

As manufacturers continue to seek ways to increase throughput and reduce non-productive machine downtime, automation solutions such as bar feeders have become essential components of high-performance turning operations. By ensuring a continuous and reliable supply of material to CNC lathes, bar feeders enable machines to run longer with minimal operator intervention, ultimately improving spindle utilization and overall shop efficiency.

The LNS Express Line has been developed specifically to meet these evolving manufacturing demands. Designed primarily for sliding headstock lathes, the system combines advanced bar guiding technology, rapid setup capabilities, and user-friendly operation to support a wide variety of machining applications. Whether used in small-batch production environments or high-volume manufacturing operations, the Express family is engineered to simplify workflow while maintaining high levels of precision and reliability.

One of the key advantages of the Express Line is its focus on flexibility. Modern machine shops frequently process a wide range of materials and part sizes, making quick changeovers critical to maintaining productivity. Traditional bar feeding systems often require manual guide channel changes and lengthy setup procedures when switching between different bar diameters. LNS has addressed these challenges through innovative engineering designed to minimize setup complexity and maximize machine availability.

The latest addition to the lineup, the Express 346 evo, introduces a self-adjusting guiding system that automatically adapts to different bar diameters. This eliminates the need for traditional guide channel changes, significantly reducing setup times and simplifying operation. The system is capable of handling bar diameters ranging from 3 mm to 46 mm, providing exceptional versatility for shops that process a diverse mix of components.

By automatically adjusting to different material sizes, the Express 346 evo helps reduce vibration during machining operations while maintaining optimal bar stability. Improved stability contributes to better surface finishes, enhanced dimensional accuracy, and greater overall machining performance. The reduction in vibration also supports longer tool life and more consistent production results, helping manufacturers achieve higher quality standards while controlling operating costs.

In addition to improving machining performance, the self-adjusting technology enables operators to transition between jobs more quickly, reducing machine downtime and increasing productive spindle hours. This capability is particularly valuable in high-mix manufacturing environments where frequent setup changes can significantly impact overall efficiency.

LNS is also preparing to introduce the Express 126, a new bar feeder specifically designed for small- and medium-diameter applications. Targeting manufacturers that require precision handling of smaller stock sizes, the Express 126 offers advanced functionality in a compact and efficient package.

A key feature of the Express 126 is its dual loading system, which supports bar diameters ranging from 1 mm to 26 mm. The system incorporates automatic loading selection technology, allowing operators to switch between different material sizes with minimal intervention. This automation helps simplify setup procedures while ensuring smooth and reliable material feeding throughout the machining process.

The Express 126 also incorporates specialized small-bar guiding technology designed to improve precision and stability when machining smaller components. These capabilities make the system particularly suitable for industries such as medical device manufacturing, electronics, aerospace, automotive, and precision engineering, where small-diameter parts often require extremely tight tolerances and superior surface finishes.

Ease of operation has also been a major focus in the development of the Express 126. Simplified controls and intuitive system management help reduce training requirements while enabling operators to quickly configure and monitor production activities. This user-friendly approach supports increased productivity while minimizing the risk of setup errors.

The introduction of the Express 346 evo and the upcoming Express 126 reflects LNS’s continued focus on developing automation solutions that address the real-world challenges faced by manufacturers. By reducing setup times, improving flexibility, enhancing machining stability, and increasing spindle uptime, these new bar feeders help machine shops achieve greater efficiency and profitability.

As manufacturers increasingly embrace automation to remain competitive, solutions like the LNS Express Line are becoming critical tools for optimizing machine performance and supporting uninterrupted production. With advanced guiding technologies, automated setup capabilities, and broad material compatibility, the latest additions to the Express family offer a practical pathway toward higher productivity and more efficient machining operations.
