JK Tyre & Industries Ltd., one of India’s leading tyre manufacturers, has strengthened its presence in the Off-the-Road (OTR) segment with the launch of four new tyres at CII EXCON 2025 in Bengaluru. Designed to meet the evolving demands of construction, infrastructure, mining and industrial material-handling operations, the new products underline JK Tyre’s focus on application-driven innovation and performance reliability. The expanded portfolio was unveiled by Dr R. Mukhopadhyay, Director (R&D), JK Tyre & Industries, highlighting the company’s continued investment in advanced tyre engineering.

The centrepiece of the launch was the SKY GRIP tyre, a new offering developed specifically for aerial work platforms (AWPs) and boom lifts. As the use of high-reach equipment increases across construction sites, warehouses, industrial facilities and infrastructure maintenance projects, the need for tyres that deliver stability and safety at height has become critical. JK Tyre’s SKY GRIP is engineered to address these requirements, providing consistent traction, enhanced control and dependable performance across varied operating surfaces.

The 355/55D625 SKY GRIP tyre is compatible with articulated and telescopic boom lifts, telehandlers and rough-terrain platforms. Its design focuses on maintaining stability during elevated operations, helping operators work with greater confidence while improving overall equipment efficiency. By targeting a fast-growing niche within the OTR market, JK Tyre aims to support safer and more productive use of aerial access equipment in demanding environments.

In addition to SKY GRIP, JK Tyre introduced three new tyres aimed at heavy-duty construction and mining applications. The 14.00-25 GTL PLUS variant has been developed for backhoe loaders, supporting frequent excavation and loading cycles with enhanced durability and load-handling capability. Built for rugged usage, the tyre is designed to deliver dependable performance in challenging jobsite conditions.

For wheel loader applications, the company unveiled the 23.5-25 GTL PLUS, engineered to provide strong traction, improved wear resistance and long service life on demanding terrain. This tyre is intended to support high-productivity operations where machines are subjected to continuous loading, hauling and dumping cycles.

Addressing the specialized needs of underground mining, JK Tyre also launched the 14.00-20 VEM AS-UG tyre. Designed for shuttle cars operating in abrasive and confined environments, the tyre features a reinforced casing and a specially formulated compound to withstand severe wear and heavy workloads while ensuring consistent performance below ground.

With these launches, JK Tyre continues to expand its OTR portfolio to cater to diverse equipment categories and operating conditions. The new products reflect the company’s emphasis on developing tyres that are not only robust and durable, but also tailored to specific applications. By aligning its offerings with the growth of India’s construction, mining and infrastructure sectors, JK Tyre is reinforcing its role as a key partner in enabling productivity, safety and efficiency across off-highway operations.
