ideaForge Technology Ltd partners with Centre for Development of Advanced Computing to boost drone-based emergency response!
ideaForge Technology Ltd has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) to strengthen drone-enabled emergency response capabilities in India. The partnership will combine ideaForge’s aerial intelligence platform with C-DAC’s emergency response systems to improve incident response times while advancing research in unmanned aerial vehicles, semiconductor technologies and data-driven solutions.
The collaboration integrates ideaForge’s FLYGHT platform, a Drone-as-a-Service (DaaS) model, with C-DAC’s Emergency Response Support System (ERSS). By connecting these platforms, the initiative aims to enable faster access to emergency services and provide real-time situational awareness for first responders. Drones equipped with advanced sensors and analytics capabilities can be dispatched quickly to incident locations, allowing authorities to assess situations before emergency teams arrive on the ground.
One of the key objectives of the partnership is to reduce the current average emergency response time of around twenty minutes. Through automated aerial dispatch, drones can reach incident locations within minutes and provide live intelligence, helping responders evaluate risks, identify affected areas and coordinate rescue operations more effectively.
The agreement also creates opportunities for joint research and development in deep-tech areas related to UAV systems. Both organizations will explore indigenous technology development, including applications involving the VEGA processor and advanced autonomous drone systems powered by artificial intelligence. These efforts are intended to strengthen India’s technological capabilities in emerging sectors such as robotics, data analytics and advanced computing.
According to Sachin Pukale, Assistant General Manager of Product Management at ideaForge, unmanned aerial systems are increasingly becoming an important part of India’s approach to security, governance and emergency management. Integrating the FLYGHT platform with ERSS will allow automated drone deployment that delivers immediate situational intelligence to emergency teams. The FLYGHT platform is designed to provide government agencies and enterprises with reliable aerial intelligence and analytics without requiring them to manage drone ownership, operations or maintenance.
C-DAC emphasized that the collaboration aligns with its mission to strengthen India’s digital public infrastructure by developing secure and scalable data services for critical sectors. By leveraging drone-generated data and advanced analytics, the partnership aims to enable faster decision-making in emergency scenarios. The organizations will also work on frameworks to ensure that drone data is efficiently processed, securely stored and used for advanced applications such as AI-driven analytics, autonomous operations and real-time monitoring.
Beyond emergency response, the partnership supports India’s broader efforts to develop sovereign and secure digital infrastructure. By integrating aerial intelligence platforms with advanced data management frameworks, the initiative promotes the development of indigenous UAV technologies that comply with national data security and safety requirements.
The collaboration also aligns with the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, which encourages domestic innovation and the development of homegrown technology solutions. Through joint research, system integration and data infrastructure development, ideaForge and C-DAC aim to accelerate the deployment of drone-based emergency response systems while strengthening India’s deep-tech ecosystem.
