Honeywell India Launches ‘LeadHERS in Tech’ to Empower Women in Technology Leadership!

Honeywell India recently hosted its inaugural ‘LeadHERS in Tech’ event at its Bengaluru campus, gathering over 200 women professionals from across the technology industry. The event highlighted the significant contributions of women to technological breakthroughs and aimed to encourage future generations to step into leadership roles within the tech space.

Anant Maheshwari, President & CEO of Global Regions at Honeywell, delivered a powerful keynote speech emphasizing the importance of diversity in driving technological innovation. He called for more platforms like ‘LeadHERS in Tech’ to empower women to lead the future of technology.

A key feature of the event was a fireside chat with Ashish Modi, President of Honeywell India, and Niranjan Kalyandurg, President of Honeywell Technology Solutions, discussing the critical role of male allies and mentorship in fostering a more inclusive workplace for women in tech. The event also featured a panel discussion titled “Breaking Barriers in Tech: Stories of Resilience and Innovation” with industry experts who shared their insights on challenging traditional norms and reshaping the tech landscape.

The day also showcased the ‘InnovateHER’ contest, where women-led teams presented tech solutions for real-world challenges, demonstrating the invaluable role of women in driving innovation. Participants had the opportunity to engage in specialized masterclasses and tour Honeywell’s Experience Center to explore innovations in aviation, automation, energy transition, and more.

Anita Vijaykrishnan, VP of Engineering and India Leader at Honeywell Technology Solutions, concluded the event with a statement that highlighted the growing influence of women in technology and Honeywell’s commitment to fostering an environment where women-led innovations can thrive. The ‘LeadHERS in Tech’ initiative is only the beginning of Honeywell’s continued effort to empower women and drive technological advancement across sectors.
