Heule Introduces Vex Tooling for One-Step Drilling and Chamfering!

Heule Precision Tools has introduced its Vex tooling system, engineered to drill and chamfer in a single operation. Designed for high-production and precision-driven environments, the system aims to improve productivity, reduce cycle times and enhance overall machining accuracy.

Vex tooling combines a solid carbide drill tip with a custom SNAP chamfering system, allowing through-holes to be drilled and chamfered simultaneously. By eliminating the need for separate drilling and chamfering tools, the system reduces tool changes and streamlines machining workflows. This integration supports improved efficiency and consistent quality, particularly in automated or high-volume manufacturing settings.

Available in sizes ranging from 5 mm to 17 mm, the Vex system features a convex cutting edge that delivers high drilling performance and produces short, manageable chips. This capability is especially valuable when machining long-chipping materials, where chip control is critical to maintaining process stability and surface finish.

A robust connecting system ensures secure and precise attachment between the drill tip and tool body, enabling optimal power transmission and reliable performance under demanding cutting conditions. The tool is particularly suited for automotive manufacturing applications, including machining brake discs, tubes, wheel hubs and similar components where precision and repeatability are essential.
