Greaves Electric Mobility Limited (GEML) has reinforced its position as a design-led innovator in India’s fast-evolving electric mobility ecosystem by securing two prestigious recognitions at the 25th CII Global Design and Exposition Summit 2025. At this landmark silver jubilee edition of the summit, GEML’s next-generation electric three-wheeler Greaves Xargo received the Silver Award at the CII Design Excellence Awards, while the Ampere Xpress was selected for the Top 100 Design List 2025—a recognition reserved for products that demonstrate exceptional design thinking, usability, and innovation.

These dual honours highlight Greaves Electric Mobility’s growing influence in shaping sustainable, purpose-driven mobility solutions that combine functional engineering with user-centric design. Competing against leading brands and concepts across industries, both vehicles stood out for their ability to address real-world transportation challenges while advancing the standards of electric vehicle design in India.

The Greaves Xargo, which won the Silver Award, represents a new benchmark in electric commercial mobility. Designed specifically for urban logistics, last-mile delivery, and B2B utility applications, the Xargo is engineered to deliver performance, durability, and flexibility in demanding operating conditions. With a payload capacity of 300 kg, a top speed of 50 kmph, and a real-world range exceeding 100 km, the vehicle is well suited for high-frequency commercial use in congested city environments.

Beyond its core performance metrics, the Xargo impressed the jury with its robust and modular design philosophy. The platform supports a variety of configurable accessories, allowing businesses to tailor the vehicle to different use cases such as cargo transport, e-commerce deliveries, and service operations. Equally noteworthy is the Ampere Xpress, which earned its place among the Top 100 Designs of 2025. Often referred to as the “Swiss Army Knife of Scooters,” the Ampere Xpress is designed for versatility and endurance, catering especially to gig workers, delivery professionals, and commercial fleet operators. The scooter supports a payload of over 200 kg, achieves a top speed of 60 kmph, and offers multiple battery configurations, including battery-swapping capability, ensuring minimal downtime and operational flexibility.

The Ampere Xpress stands out for its rider-focused design and long-term ownership proposition. Advanced IoT connectivity enables smart diagnostics and operational insights, while the 5-year or 75,000 km warranty underscores Greaves Electric Mobility’s confidence in product durability and lifecycle performance. The design balances ruggedness with everyday usability, making it suitable for intensive daily operations without compromising comfort or safety.

Both the Greaves Xargo and Ampere Xpress were first unveiled as concept vehicles at Auto Expo 2025, where they drew strong attention for their forward-looking aesthetics, functional design, and clear alignment with India’s evolving mobility needs.
