In a landmark initiative aimed at transforming workplace wellness, Godrej Industries Group (GIG) will host the first-ever Global Healthy Workplace Summit & Awards in India, in partnership with the Global Centre for Healthy Workplaces (GCHW) and Arogya World. The event will be held at Godrej One in Mumbai on November 20–21, 2025, and will bring together global leaders, policymakers, business executives, and wellness experts to explore innovative, data-driven strategies for employee well-being.
This historic summit marks the first time the event is being hosted in India, reflecting the country’s rising focus on health-conscious corporate environments amid changing workplace dynamics and growing public health concerns. The summit is expected to serve as a catalyst for progress, uniting diverse sectors to share global insights and best practices around mental health, non-communicable disease (NCD) prevention, workplace nutrition, and integrating wellness into ESG and organizational culture.
The 2025 edition will also feature the prestigious Healthiest Workplaces Awards, recognizing companies that exemplify excellence in workplace wellness. In addition, the program will spotlight impactful initiatives like Arogya World’s MyThali nutrition guide, tobacco-free workplace strategies, and coaching programs that promote lasting behavioral change.
Speaking about the summit, Ajay Bhatt, Group Head of Corporate Services at Godrej Industries Group, emphasized the importance of employee-centric practices, stating, “Creating healthier work environments goes far beyond routine wellness checks. Our collaboration with GCHW and Arogya World reinforces our long-standing belief that employee well-being is key to long-term success.”
Barry Crisp, Director of Marketing and Communications at GCHW, echoed this sentiment: “This year’s summit in Mumbai is a significant opportunity to exchange global insights and strengthen the movement for healthier workplaces. Our core belief is simple—healthy employees make for stronger businesses.”
Srabani Banerjee, Chief of Programs at Arogya World, added, “Our work is centered around helping organizations integrate well-being into their business operations. By leveraging data and strategy, we guide companies toward socially responsible practices. We’re thrilled to bring this effort to a global stage with our partners.”
Founded in 1897, Godrej Industries Group touches the lives of over a billion people through its businesses in consumer goods, chemicals, real estate, agriculture, and finance. Its commitment to sustainability, innovation, and inclusive growth is reflected in its latest initiative to embed well-being deeper into workplace culture.
Arogya World, a global non-profit, focuses on preventing chronic lifestyle diseases like diabetes and heart disease through science-based interventions across homes, schools, and workplaces. The organization has already impacted 19 million lives and aims to reach 50 million by 2030.
The Global Healthy Workplace Summit 2025 promises to be a pivotal event, providing both strategic vision and actionable insights for building healthier, happier, and more productive workplaces across India and the world.
