Generac, a global leader in power generation solutions, has officially opened a new 345,000-square-foot manufacturing and assembly facility in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, marking a significant investment in the future of domestic production and resilient supply chains. The facility will focus on producing commercial and industrial generators, playing a critical role in powering America’s rapidly evolving infrastructure landscape.
Headquartered in Waukesha, Wis., Generac is doubling down on its commitment to American manufacturing at a time when demand for backup power solutions is surging—fueled by the expansion of data centers, clean energy projects, and advanced industrial networks. Speaking at the opening, Aaron Jagdfeld, Chairman, President, and CEO of Generac, stated:
“Some companies talk about bringing manufacturing home. We’re focused on what comes next, because America’s critical infrastructure depends on it.”
The new facility currently employs around 130 workers, with plans to grow the workforce to 320 by the end of 2025. This expansion not only strengthens Generac’s manufacturing capabilities but also contributes to the economic development of Beaver Dam and the surrounding region.
With this strategic investment, Generac is reinforcing its role as a key enabler of energy resilience and infrastructure stability. As the U.S. faces increasing demands for reliable, domestically sourced power systems, the company’s move positions it at the forefront of meeting these needs with speed, scalability, and innovation.
