Flow International Corp. has renewed its partnership with Joe Gibbs Racing through a new five-year agreement, reinforcing a long-standing collaboration focused on advancing high-performance manufacturing and fabrication technologies in motorsports.

As part of the renewed partnership, Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) will integrate Flow’s latest fabrication solutions into its operations, including the NX Pro waterjet system, LZR fibre laser and HyperBend press brake. These technologies are expected to enhance the team’s ability to manufacture precision components with greater speed, accuracy and efficiency—critical factors in the highly competitive motorsports environment.

The NX Pro waterjet system represents a significant advancement in cutting technology. It features a fully enclosed design that improves safety and cleanliness while incorporating automated abrasive recycling to reduce material waste. In addition, energy-efficient pump technology helps lower operating costs, and a redesigned software interface simplifies operation and improves usability. This combination enables JGR to achieve precise cuts across a wide range of materials while maintaining operational efficiency.

Complementing the waterjet system is the LZR fibre laser, designed for high-speed, high-volume cutting applications. The machine is capable of processing materials such as aluminum, mild steel and stainless steel up to one inch thick. Its speed and precision make it ideal for producing complex components quickly, helping JGR reduce lead times and respond rapidly to performance requirements on the track.

The HyperBend press brake further enhances fabrication capabilities by combining automation with precision forming. It enables fast changeovers and supports complex bending operations, allowing the team to produce a wide variety of parts with minimal setup time. This flexibility is particularly valuable in motorsports, where rapid design iterations and custom components are often required.

The partnership highlights the growing role of advanced manufacturing technologies in motorsports engineering. Teams like Joe Gibbs Racing rely on cutting-edge fabrication tools to produce lightweight, high-strength components that can improve vehicle performance while maintaining reliability.

For Flow International, the collaboration provides a platform to demonstrate its technologies in one of the most demanding manufacturing environments. Motorsports applications often push equipment to its limits, making them an ideal testing ground for innovation and performance validation.

Overall, the renewed agreement underscores the importance of integrating advanced cutting and forming technologies into modern fabrication workflows. By leveraging Flow’s solutions, Joe Gibbs Racing is well positioned to enhance its manufacturing efficiency, improve component quality and maintain a competitive edge in the fast-paced world of professional racing.
