FAULHABER, a leading manufacturer of precision motion systems, has introduced its new range of Ø16 mm motors, gearheads, and encoders, providing a powerful, precise, and reliable solution for industries such as industrial automation, robotics, and medical technology. These cutting-edge components are designed to meet the growing demands of high-performance drive systems with minimal space requirements.
The range features two distinct motor families, the GXR and SXR series, both engineered to deliver optimal performance in compact applications. The GXR family includes the 1627 GXR brushed motor, which utilizes copper-graphite commutation. This motor offers versatile voltage options ranging from 4.5 V to 24 V and can be customized for various applications, including vacuum and high-temperature environments. The motor is also equipped with optimized rotor balancing, ensuring smooth and durable operation.
Additionally, the 1627 GXR size joins FAULHABER’s SXR family, which is renowned for its excellent power-to-volume ratio, making it ideal for high-tech applications where space is limited but performance is critical. The SXR motors, featuring precious-metal commutation, are designed to offer superior power and efficiency, supporting a wide range of electrical configurations and meeting RoHS standards for environmental compatibility.
Complementing these motors is the new 16GPT planetary gearhead, which is perfectly suited for applications where installation space is constrained. Its robust design allows it to handle high speeds and heavy loads reliably, making it an excellent choice for high-performance systems that demand both precision and durability.
To further enhance precision, the IEX3 magnetic encoder has been integrated into the system. With a positional accuracy of 0.3°, this encoder supports a broad voltage range (3.3 V to 5 V) and operates across an extended temperature range of -40°C to 100°C. Its low-maintenance, compact design makes it an ideal companion for the new motor range, providing high accuracy and reliability in challenging environments.
Together, these Ø16 mm motors, gearheads, and encoders form a cohesive, efficient, and robust solution, offering engineers the tools they need to develop next-generation, high-performance drive systems. This new product lineup underscores FAULHABER’s commitment to innovation and precision in advancing industries such as robotics, automation, and medical technology.
