Global sustainability consultancy ERM has named Olaf Schatteman as the new Global Leader of its Sustainable Products and Supply Chain practice. With over 25 years of experience in supply chain strategy, operations management, and sustainable products development, Schatteman will be based in ERM’s Milan office.
In his new role, Schatteman expressed enthusiasm, stating, “I am excited to join ERM to lead a team of experts dedicated to helping organizations tackle complex product and supply chain sustainability challenges.”
Prior to joining ERM, Schatteman led Bain & Company’s Performance Improvement practice in Australia and New Zealand, focusing on operational transformation to enhance environmental and societal impact while improving customer experiences and revenue generation. Previously, he served as a Managing Director at Accenture, overseeing supply chain, operations, and sustainability services across Asia Pacific, Africa, the Middle East, and Turkey.
Jaideep Das, Global Leader of Services and Innovation at ERM, highlighted Schatteman’s extensive expertise, emphasizing the critical role he will play as ERM supports businesses in navigating evolving product regulations and heightened stakeholder expectations for product circularity and ESG performance improvements across supply chains.
ERM, headquartered in the United Kingdom and recently rebranded, operates in over 150 offices across 40 countries with a staff of over 8,000 professionals, supported by private equity.
