Emmvee Photovoltaic Power Private Limited Commences 2.5 GW Solar Module Production at New Bengaluru Facility!
Emmvee Photovoltaic Power Private Limited has commenced commercial production at its new solar module manufacturing facility in Bengaluru, adding 2.5 gigawatts (GW) of annual capacity and significantly expanding its manufacturing footprint. The development strengthens Emmvee’s position in India’s fast-growing renewable energy sector and supports the country’s push toward energy security and domestic manufacturing.
Designed with advanced automation and state-of-the-art production technologies, the new plant is equipped to manufacture high-efficiency photovoltaic modules for utility-scale, commercial, and residential solar applications. The facility will produce a broad portfolio, including mono PERC and advanced high-wattage modules, aligned with evolving customer requirements and global quality standards.
The expanded capacity is expected to meet rising demand from domestic solar developers while also supporting export markets, reinforcing Emmvee’s role as a dependable supplier within the global solar value chain. The commissioning aligns with national initiatives such as Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat, enhancing local capabilities and reducing reliance on imports.
Sustainability has been central to the facility’s design and operations, with energy-efficient manufacturing processes, stringent quality controls, and responsible resource management integrated to minimise environmental impact while ensuring consistent product performance. The new plant is also expected to generate significant direct and indirect employment in the region.
With the Bengaluru facility now operational, Emmvee’s total solar module manufacturing capacity has increased substantially, positioning the company to support India’s ambitious renewable energy targets and the accelerating adoption of solar power across sectors, while preparing for the next phase of advanced solar technologies as the market evolves.
