Chiron Group to Host Open House at Facility in Germany, Featuring Innovations and New Machining Center!

The Chiron Group, a renowned name in machining technology, will host an open house event at its facility in Tuttlingen, Germany, from May 13-15, 2025. This event promises to be an exciting showcase of advanced machining solutions, offering 1,500 square meters of exhibition space dedicated to cutting-edge technologies. The event will feature 12 different machining and turnkey solutions designed for a variety of industries, along with the world premiere of its highly anticipated DZ 22 W speed+ machining center.

The DZ 22 W speed+ is a double-spindle five-axis machining center that boasts impressive capabilities, including a spindle distance of 600 mm. This machine is designed for complete machining of large components used in series production across various industries. According to Michael Wurster, Senior Product Manager at Chiron, the DZ 22 W speed+ promises “more traverse path, higher cutting performance, shorter cycle times, and proven advantages such as maximum precision, dynamics, and optimum resource efficiency.” The machine also offers a 20% increase in acceleration, a 40% improvement in jerk, and a ramp-up time of just 0.5 seconds, making it a powerful addition to the Chiron portfolio.

In addition to the DZ 22 W speed+, attendees will have the opportunity to see the FZ 19 S five-axis machining center, designed for series production with a compact footprint. The FZ 19 S offers 700 mm of Z-travel and is well-suited for both cubic and cylindrical workpieces. Visitors will also see the FZ 19 S mill-turn variant, which can be used for both milling and turning applications. Other exhibits will include the MT variants of the company’s 715 Series, which optimize workpiece quality and streamline production processes by supporting higher part variance.

Chiron will also showcase several customized, refurbished solutions for existing machining centers, offering attendees a glimpse into the company’s commitment to maximizing the lifespan and performance of older equipment.

Matthias Rapp, Vice President of Global Marketing at Chiron, emphasized that the open house is not just about presenting new innovations but also fostering a personal exchange with customers. “Times are challenging for all players, and our customers have to focus on several goals at the same time. More flexible, more productive, more autonomous, more resilient — these are just a few of the key themes we want to discuss,” said Rapp. “Our goal is to listen carefully to our customers’ needs and offer solutions that contribute to their continued success in the global market.”

This open house event will provide a valuable opportunity for industry professionals to engage with Chiron’s latest advancements and discuss how the company’s solutions can help businesses stay competitive in a rapidly evolving manufacturing landscape.
