BTD Manufacturing Expands Operations with New Facility in Dawsonville, Georgia!

BTD Manufacturing, a leading custom metal fabrication manufacturer, has officially opened a new facility in Dawsonville, Georgia. The newly constructed 335,000-sq.-ft. building will complement the company’s existing 162,000-sq.-ft. plant, significantly expanding its production capabilities and positioning BTD to take on larger, more complex projects.

The original Dawsonville facility already supports a wide range of services, including research and development (R&D), tooling, fabrication, stamping, welding, painting, assembly, and inventory management. With the addition of the new building, BTD is now poised to enhance and expand its service offerings, making it more versatile in addressing the growing demands of its customers. This new facility underscores BTD’s commitment to meeting the needs of both existing and future clients by increasing its capacity and ability to handle larger-scale projects.

In 2024, BTD Manufacturing earned the prestigious position of third place on The Fabricator’s FAB 40 list, which recognizes the top 40 metal fabricators in the United States. The expansion is part of a larger strategy to grow the company’s footprint and increase its market presence. BTD employs over 1,000 people across its locations in Detroit Lakes, Lakeville, Dawsonville, and Washington, Illinois.

With the addition of this state-of-the-art facility, BTD Manufacturing is better positioned to meet the increasing demand for custom metal fabrication solutions. The new space allows for more streamlined operations, greater flexibility, and the ability to manage larger, more intricate projects. This expansion solidifies BTD’s reputation as a leader in the metal fabrication industry, with an expanded team and a broader range of capabilities to serve industries including automotive, aerospace, and consumer products.

The opening of the new Dawsonville facility marks a significant milestone for BTD Manufacturing as it continues to scale its operations and strengthen its position as a leader in custom metal fabrication. This move not only enhances its ability to serve larger projects but also reflects the company’s commitment to innovation and growth within the industry. With a strong workforce and an expanded facility, BTD is poised for continued success and leadership in the manufacturing sector.
