Brembo, an Italian company, invests $207 million at its Nuevo León factory

Brembo, an Italian brake maker, has finished a $207 million expansion of its production factory in Escobedo, Nuevo León.

The 322,917-square-foot project, which began in 2021, is expected to provide 500 new jobs in addition to the 1,100 now employed there. According to Brembo officials, the investment doubled the factory’s capacity, allowing it to raise output from 3 million to 6 million brake callipers per year. The Escobedo plant is presently Brembo’s largest manufacturing facility in the world.

“As Brembo continues to advance the world of brakes, advanced facilities like this one help bring our vision to life,” stated Stéphane Rolland, President of Brembo North America, at the opening event. “This represents another step forward in our mission to be a solutions provider and serve our customers globally.”

“Nuevo León is a fantastic place for us to do business.” We have tremendous expertise and talented individuals who enable us to expand with Brembo,” he continued.
