Boeing India has announced the appointment of Stacie Sire as the new Vice President and Managing Director of Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center (BIETC), and Chief Engineer for Boeing India. With a career spanning 27 years at Boeing, Sire brings extensive expertise in structural engineering and program leadership to her new role. Based in Bengaluru, Sire takes over the reins from Ahmed Elsherbini, who has transitioned to a global engineering leadership position within Boeing.
In her new position, Sire will be responsible for guiding the strategic direction of Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center (BIETC), enhancing operational efficiency, and upholding engineering excellence across the center. This includes overseeing the continued development of Boeing’s India-based engineering teams, ensuring they are aligned with global aerospace and defense innovation standards. Sire’s leadership will also play a key role in integrating local operations with Boeing’s broader global engineering network.
Sire’s career at Boeing has been distinguished by her significant contributions to major aircraft platforms, including the 787, 767, and 777. She has gained invaluable experience in managing engineering for fabrication across 20 global manufacturing units, where she oversaw engineering support and integration. Her deep understanding of complex engineering challenges and her hands-on experience with various aircraft systems make her well-positioned to lead Boeing India’s engineering operations as the company continues to expand in the region.
Before assuming her new role, Sire had worked in numerous engineering leadership positions, starting as a structural engineer and progressively advancing into management roles across loads, dynamics, and systems integration. Her leadership experience spans a wide range of areas, including airframe engineering, propulsion structures, and production systems, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of both technical and operational aspects of aerospace engineering.
With her appointment, Boeing reinforces its commitment to strengthening its engineering presence in India, a country that has become increasingly important to the company’s global growth strategy.
