Bartronics India Limited Launches Nationwide Agritech Rollout with Maharashtra as First Phase!
Bartronics India Limited (BIL) has moved from planning to execution in its agritech initiative, completing its first large-scale on-ground rollout in Maharashtra and preparing for expansion into Uttar Pradesh as part of a broader pan-India deployment. Over the past two weeks, the company conducted 10 field engagement programmes across key agricultural districts in Maharashtra, marking a decisive shift from pilot concepts to real-world implementation.
The engagement sessions brought together a wide cross-section of the agricultural ecosystem, including farmers, Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), cooperatives, traders, commission agents, logistics and warehousing providers, food processors, and rural service operators. Collectively, these networks provide direct and indirect access to several lakh farmers, with extended reach exceeding one million farmers through affiliated organisations and intermediaries. The outreach reflects Bartronics India’s platform-centric approach, aimed at integrating farmers into a connected ecosystem spanning market access, logistics, storage, and allied services.
Commenting on the rollout, Vidhya Sagar Reddy, Managing Director of Bartronics India Limited, said the Maharashtra engagement focused on building a connected agritech ecosystem from the ground up. He noted that strong participation from farmers and ecosystem partners validated the company’s approach and set the stage for expansion into Uttar Pradesh and other regions as part of a nationwide strategy.
The farmer groups involved represented a diverse crop mix, including onions, cashews, mangoes, wheat, jowar, and bajra, ensuring relevance across crops, seasons, and regional farming practices. As part of the initiative, Ampivo AI, under its Memorandum of Understanding with Bartronics India, participated in the field programmes and conducted a soft launch of its multilingual agritech application.
The digital platform is intended to act as the technology backbone of the initiative, supporting farmer onboarding, ecosystem mapping, and marketplace functionality across multiple stakeholder categories. Ampivo AI is developing the mobile application and marketplace infrastructure to enable participation from individual farmers, FPOs, traders, logistics providers, and processors. The multilingual interface demonstrated during the sessions is designed to drive adoption among local-language users, with onboarding already underway.
While Maharashtra marks the first phase of execution, the programme is national in scope. Based on early traction and field-level insights, Bartronics India plans to begin the next phase of activation in Uttar Pradesh, where the company already has an operational presence, followed by a phased rollout across other agricultural regions. The initiative signals Bartronics India’s transition to a scalable, multi-layer agritech platform aimed at building a farmer-focused digital ecosystem across India.
