Atlas Copco Group Names Bhavin Pandya as GM for Compressor Technique Operations in India!
Atlas Copco Group has announced the appointment of Bhavin Pandya as General Manager – Compressor Technique Customer Center, India, at Atlas Copco (India) Pvt Ltd. The appointment comes at a strategically important time as India’s industrial and manufacturing landscape continues to expand rapidly.
Welcoming the decision, Thierry Monart, Managing Director of Atlas Copco (India) Pvt Ltd, said that Bhavin’s return to India brings valuable international perspective combined with deep institutional knowledge of Atlas Copco’s culture and values. He noted that Bhavin’s leadership is expected to strengthen the company’s market position, accelerate growth, and enhance value creation for customers and stakeholders.
Bhavin Pandya has been associated with Atlas Copco Group since 2004, during which he has held several senior leadership roles across functions and geographies. His experience includes serving as Operations Manager for the Gas & Process Division, leading sourcing initiatives for product companies in Dapodi and Chakan, and heading the Industrial Technique business in India as General Manager.
In 2019, Bhavin moved to Prague, where he led Industrial Technique operations across 16 countries in Eastern Europe as General Manager of the Customer Center, while also serving as Managing Director of the local organisation. A mechanical engineer by qualification with an MBA from Nirma Institute of Management, he brings over three decades of professional experience, including nine years prior to joining Atlas Copco, with hands-on exposure to application engineering, product marketing, and service sales in the compressor domain.
Commenting on his return to India, Bhavin Pandya said the country is undergoing a phase of rapid industrial transformation, making it an exciting time to take on this responsibility. He expressed his focus on working closely with customers, partners, and internal teams to deliver advanced compressor solutions offering higher reliability, superior energy efficiency, lower environmental impact, and an enhanced customer experience, supported by strong service capabilities and an integrated physical and digital presence.
In his new role, Bhavin will be responsible for steering the Compressor Technique business through its next phase of growth in India. His priorities include deepening customer engagement, expanding the solutions portfolio, and building a resilient, future-ready organisation aligned with evolving market needs.
