The Association for Manufacturing Technology (AMT) has elected its new board leadership for the 2025-2026 term. Michael J. Cicco, the president and CEO of FANUC Corp., has been appointed as chairman of the board. Cicco expressed his excitement and honor in stepping into this leadership role, emphasizing the importance of AMT’s work in helping manufacturers overcome the challenges they face, particularly in maintaining competitiveness. He highlighted AMT’s commitment to providing innovative solutions for its members, enabling them to find opportunities despite current industry obstacles. Cicco also expressed pride in working alongside a distinguished board to shape the vision for the future of manufacturing.
Douglas K. Woods, president of AMT, welcomed Cicco’s appointment, noting the critical moment the industry is experiencing, with unprecedented support to strengthen the industrial base through both traditional and advanced manufacturing technologies. Woods emphasized AMT’s dedication to leveraging this momentum to provide essential resources for its members and ensure their competitive advantage on the global stage.
Alongside Cicco, the new board leadership includes Gregory Volovic, president and CEO of Hurco Companies Inc., who has been elected as first vice chairman, and Willie Eichele, president of The HEH Group, who will serve as secretary/treasurer. Markus Stolmar, president and CEO of United Grinding North America Inc., has been newly elected to the board. Daniel D. Janka, president of Mazak Corp. and the outgoing chairman of the board, will serve ex-officio, and AMT honored Janka’s service with a U.S. flag flown over the U.S. Capitol in his honor. The association also presented plaques to Gregory Buck, president of Productivity Inc., and Chip Storie, retired machine tool executive, for their service as outgoing board members.
Other members of the 2025-2026 AMT board include Blake Consdorf, president and CEO of Bourn & Koch Inc., Glynn Fletcher, president of EOS North America, Jason Jones, Ph.D., CEO and co-founder of Hybrid Manufacturing Technologies, Melanie Lang, co-founder and CEO of FormAlloy, and Rajas Sukthankar, vice president of motion control at Siemens Industry Inc. With this new leadership team in place, AMT is well-positioned to continue advocating for the manufacturing technology industry, driving forward initiatives that support the growth and competitiveness of its members across the global marketplace.
