Amit Sharma Appointed as Vice President – Power Products & Digital Energy, Greater India Zone at Schneider Electric!

Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, has announced the appointment of Amit Sharma as Vice President – Power Products and Digital Energy for the Greater India Zone. He succeeds Nikhil Pathak, who retires after an illustrious 15-year career that significantly contributed to Schneider Electric’s growth, transformation, and innovation across multiple business lines.

The leadership transition underscores Schneider Electric’s commitment to nurturing internal talent and ensuring continuity in strategic business leadership. It highlights the company’s long-term focus on positioning Greater India as a vital hub for innovation, sustainability, and business excellence.

Commenting on the appointment, Deepak Sharma, Zone President – Greater India and MD & CEO of Schneider Electric India, said, “Amit’s deep expertise, strategic acumen, and customer-centric approach make him ideally suited to lead our Power Products and Digital Energy business. In his new capacity, Amit Sharma will oversee the end-to-end operations, strategy, and profitability of the Power Products and Digital Energy business, furthering Schneider Electric’s transformation agenda across India and neighboring markets. His nearly three decades of professional experience span diverse leadership roles in marketing, digital transformation, and product development. During his tenure with Schneider Electric in France, he was instrumental in developing the global Medium Voltage Air-Insulated Switchgear (MV AIS) portfolio and advancing the “India for India” Power Systems initiative—an effort aimed at promoting local innovation and collaboration between Indian and global R&D teams.

Before joining Schneider Electric, Sharma spent 14 years with ABB, where he contributed to several strategic projects that strengthened the company’s operations across key business segments.

His appointment reinforces Schneider Electric’s unwavering commitment to innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation—pillars central to the company’s vision for the future.
