The integration of BLE technology into Addverb’s robotic solutions is designed to provide faster and more reliable communication, particularly in safety-critical situations. By leveraging BLE-powered emergency-stop functionality, robots within the fleet can be quickly deactivated within seconds in emergency situations, significantly improving response times and reducing the risk of accidents. This functionality supplements the existing Wi-Fi infrastructure, ensuring that safety protocols are reinforced without compromising system performance. Additionally, a remote power cut-off feature has been incorporated, allowing centralized management of large fleets of robots without requiring manual intervention at each unit. The upgraded BLE-enabled solution has already been deployed in real-world environments across Zippy 10 robots in active warehouse settings.
