A delivery van that comes with all tools required to calibrate measurement equipment

WIKA is one of the companies that took advantage of the need to maintain measurement equipment during COVID lockdown when movements were heavily restricted. They have now developed a delivery van that comes with all tools required to calibrate measurement equipment right from the client’s premises. Customers can book this service via WIKA’s web app, toll-free numbers, and email IDs.

WIKA will greatly help companies that waste time and money to ship their equipment for calibration. WIKA’s mobile calibration lab also generates the measurement error report by measuring the value before and after calibration. Such information is what the customers need to know how badly off their equipment was before calibration.

This service is currently available in the southern region of India but will soon be coming to other parts of the country, including the Eastern and the Northern regions. WIKA is mainly targeting large enterprises with measurement equipment that needs to be in operation 24/7. So, they will be saving the time and cost these companies would incur to ship the equipment to a stationed calibration lab.

In his words, Gaurav Bawa, Senior Vice President, WIKA India, said, “it has always been an endeavor of WIKA to offer the best products and services to the customers. As quality is the most important differentiator in leading the market, we decided to continue the best practice of reaching out to the consumer for service, rather than them shipping the goods to us. The initial foray into the service was borne out of necessity when transportation was difficult during COVID lockdown. We plan to expand the service of mobile calibration van, based on the positive feedback of the customers.”

He emphasized the fact that maintaining equipment in industrial units is crucial to minimize the negative impact that could be created by errors arising from non-calibrated equipment. He also pointed out that the delay in transportation has always been a challenge to many companies, and the fact that displacing the equipment could also mess up its calibration. These are the main problems that WIKA’s solution intends to solve.

Gaurav also promised that WIKA would continue to play a major role in future growth prospects of both the precision engineering market of India and WIKA global. He hopes that WIKA will lead the way in this regard.
