New Strategic Accounts Manager Hired at L.S. Starrett

The L.S. Starrett Company, a maker of precision measuring equipment and gauges, metrology systems, saw blades, power tool accessories, and other goods, has named Seth Downing as its new North American strategic accounts manager for industrial products. Michael Connor formerly held the position but was recently elevated to sales and marketing director of industrial products for North America. “We are very pleased to welcome Seth to Starrett,” Connor says. “He brings to his new role successful industry sales and marketing experience, as well as proven results managing and growing large industrial national accounts such as MSC, Grainger, and Fastenal.”

Downing is stated to have over ten years of tool manufacturing experience, with a focus on the industrial, retail, and automotive channels. His experience includes responsibilities such as industrial national account manager and channel marketing manager, as well as business development and sales management. Downing graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is from Tennessee and will work from the company’s headquarters in Athol, Massachusetts.
