Mercedes-Benz collaborates with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada

Mercedes-Benz has established a multi-year collaboration with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada (BBBSC) as well as title sponsorship of the organization’s National Youth Mentoring Advisory Council (NYMAC). The collaboration will provide mentorship to assist Canadian children in reaching their greatest potential. Mercedes-Benz Canada has announced the launch of Driving Your Future, a corporate citizenship project focused on empowering the next generation of Canadians through education, development, and inspiration. Mercedes-Benz Canada is expanding the Driving Your Future programme, which Mercedes-Benz USA launched in 2022.

Mercedes-Benz Canada, through Driving Your Future, will assist Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) agencies across the country in meeting the growing need for mentors for Littles (mentees). Currently, 10,000 youth (aged seven to 18) across Canada are waiting for mentorship. Mentorship, according to studies, greatly changes lives by developing resilience, underlining the significance of the BBBSC movement in Canada.”Driving Your Future is an extension of Mercedes-Benz’s ability to lead and accelerate change.” “We are taking positive action to help the next generation of Canadian youth reach their full potential,” stated Andreas Tetzloff, President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Canada.

Mercedes-Benz Canada is the title sponsor of BBBSC’s National Youth Mentoring Advisory Council (NYMAC), a group of young people (aged 17-28) from throughout the country, as a result of this collaboration. The group gives guidance, works on initiatives, and serves as a leader in assisting BBBSC with mentoring difficulties. Mercedes-Benz Canada will connect with NYMAC members on a regular basis, providing networking, unique experiences, and mentorship opportunities for the council’s young members, while also enabling NYMAC’s mission to consistently improve BBBSC’s mentoring programmes for youngsters across Canada.
