Velden’s investment in the Takumi H16 has brought great success and they are pleased with its high precision and the extra capabilities it brings to their company for their largest contracts.

Takumi’s H16 is a high-speed bridge type machining centre that has exceptional rigidity. The rigidity is achieved by 4-6 roller blocks per guideway and the headstocks have been designed shorter and lighter to decrease deflection. The top roof cover has sliding sections for ease of overhead part loading and having spindle speeds of 15,000 rpm and a taper of BBT40.

Takumi have been increasing their presence within the U.K. manufacturing sector by many new installations this year, such as the U600 5-axis machining centre that has been installed into the Staffordshire area and will be manufacturing large MOD components.
