Introducing the MILL 4-12KT tangential shoulder milling cutter from Kennametal
Kennametal has now introduced the latest addition to its high-performance indexable milling range. The new MILL 4-12KT tangential shoulder milling has been developed with a patented insert design that features a triangular shaped margin to provide unprecedented stability during steel and cast-iron machining applications.
The impressive new tangential shoulder milling range requires up to 15% less horsepower that enable increased feed rates, even on smaller and less powerful machine tools. With incredible stability and minimal axial runout, the new MILL 4-12KT provides excellent floor finishes and overall surface finishes.
With seven grades and seven corner radii and a depth-of-cut range up to 12mm, the program offers versatility to cover many shoulder milling applications. The new series is available with either a course or medium pitch designation that is ideal for a wide variety of applications. Furthermore, the MILL 4-12KT has a patented margin design that ensures unprecedented stability whilst the tangentially mounted inserts give easy access to insert locking screws, which demonstrate the utmost in rigidity and precision when locking the inserts in position.
The coarse and medium pitch cutters with internal coolant supply are available in a variety of diameters that include 50, 63, 80, 100, 125, 160 and 200mm diameter. In addition, the impressive new portfolio has a choice of insert grades to maximise performance, tool life and longevity on a wide-ranging selection of materials.
