J L Goor Machinery, Fanuc’s trusted Irish partner for over two decades, has announced an expansion of its successful partnership with the global automation expert. Known for its exceptional success in the polymer industry through the distribution of Fanuc’s Roboshot all-electric injection moulding machines, J L Goor is now extending its offering to include Fanuc’s Robodrill CNC compact machining centres in Ireland.
With more than 700 Roboshot machines installed across the country, the Mullingar-based company has played a central role in Fanuc’s growth in the Irish manufacturing market. The newly extended partnership will now serve additional sectors including medical devices, aerospace, automotive components, fabrication and precision engineering—helping customers meet increasing demand for highly precise and efficient metal machining.
This announcement follows a record-breaking year for J L Goor, further marked by the opening of its new 1,200m² Centre of Excellence in Mullingar. The purpose-built facility includes space for electrical design, installation, testing, fabrication, and machinery customisation, along with a dedicated training and mould-testing area.
Conor O’Kelly, Fanuc Ireland’s office manager, commented:
“Ireland is a strategic market for Fanuc globally. Since establishing Fanuc Ireland in 2022, we’ve been focused on delivering local sales and service support, and J L Goor has been a key partner in that effort. Many of our customers operate across both polymer and metal machining sectors—especially in medical and aerospace—so extending our relationship to include Robodrill is a natural progression.”
Phil Watters, Managing Director at J L Goor Machinery, added:
“Our customers are world-class manufacturers who demand precision, reliability, and compliance. Fanuc’s Robodrill offers the same high-performance and dependability that our customers already expect from Roboshot. We’re excited to deliver that same level of service and technical support to the precision engineering sector in Ireland.”
To support this expansion, J L Goor has appointed Noel Bracken, a seasoned expert in the machining sector, as its dedicated salesperson for Robodrill.
He said: “The Robodrill has real potential to transform applications such as drilling, milling, cutting and polishing for Irish manufacturers. I look forward to helping customers boost productivity, reduce costs and achieve significant energy savings with this impressive technology.”
With this expansion, J L Goor continues to cement its reputation as Ireland’s go-to partner for advanced manufacturing technologies.
