
FANUC UK recently concluded a highly anticipated event focused on the future of precision engineering, highlighting the transformative power of AI in manufacturing. The three-day event featured numerous discussions aimed at exploring industry advancements and innovation.
The final day was marked by a panel discussion titled “Building the Future: Industry’s Role in Inspiring, Upskilling, and Empowering Talent.” This session brought together a diverse array of industry experts to explore critical topics related to skills development within the manufacturing sector.
Among the distinguished panelists was Sam Hoare from Bespak, who shared insights drawn from his 13-year career journey within the company. Hoare began as an apprentice and advanced to become a Moulding Engineer before taking on his current role as an Injection Moulding Academy Trainer. His experience underscores Bespak’s commitment to internal development, with Hoare now overseeing the academy and its expanding portfolio of courses designed to meet the company’s evolving needs.
Since its inception, Bespak’s academy has seen considerable success, with over 900 employees trained and more than 10,000 training hours delivered. This dedication to training reflects the broader industry trend towards empowering and upskilling talent to meet future challenges.
Participants were encouraged to connect with industry leaders, learn from their experiences, and discuss the pathways forward for the manufacturing industry in an increasingly AI-driven world.
