Speedgrip Chuck Introduces Quick-Change Receiver to Streamline Tool Changes

Speedgrip Chuck Company has launched the QCR Quick-Change Receiver, an innovative solution designed to dramatically reduce the time needed for tool changes in machining processes. This new product enables operators to switch ID/OD collets, jaw chucks, or face driver workholding devices in less than five minutes, compared to the typical hour-long process. This efficiency is particularly beneficial for just-in-time production runs.

Key Features:

  • Cam-Lock Technology: The QCR Quick-Change Receiver uses a cam-lock release system that simplifies and speeds up the changeover process.
  • Versatility: The receiver is available for all standard spindle nose configurations, from A2-5 through A11 and flatback spindles. It also includes a through-hole design for through-spindle bar feeding operations (SpeedGrip) (SpeedGrip).
  • Modular Design: The system requires only two adapter plates, making it highly modular and standardized for various customer needs (Gear Technology) (EV Design and Manufacturing).

Speedgrip’s QCR Quick-Change Receiver will be showcased at IMTS 2024, allowing attendees to see firsthand how it enhances productivity and aligns with modern automation and Industry 4.0 standards. Visitors can find Speedgrip at booth #432268 in the West Building, Level 3, at McCormick Center, Chicago, from September 9-14 (EV Design and Manufacturing).
