University race team on track for exciting season following sponsorship boost
The University of Wolverhampton Racing Team (UWR) has secured a sponsorship boost of £200,000 from local…
As the numbers of NHS and frontline care workers contracting COVID-19 continues to rise, and reports of shortages of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) continue to hit the headlines, the University of Wolverhampton is manufacturing PPE for distribution across the West Midlands to keep health professionals safe.
We’re asking for financial help to ensure these lifesaving projects can continue, and you can find out more information or make a donation at www.wlv.ac.uk/COVIDappeal
Almost 500 face shields have already been manufactured, and if you’re able to make a donation, we can produce thousands more.
To help the University of Wolverhampton continue to produce vital PPE and sanitiser, please consider a donation to the COVID-19 appeal.
We’d like to raise £10,000 so that the University can manufacture 3,000 face shields and 1,500 litres of sanitiser, and if we can raise a further £10,000 (£20,000 total) we can build an injection moulding tool and buy enough raw materials so that we can manufacture 30,000 face shields at a rate of 1,000 per day!
As well as our fundraising efforts, we are tackling the crisis by fast-tracking over 600 student nurses, midwives, paramedics and pharmacists into the community to help those who need it most.
If you’re able to make a donation, or would like to know more about our projects, visit www.wlv.ac.uk/COVIDappeal.
