Starrag Orchestrates Perfect Machining Symphony at IMTS

At the IMTS exhibition from the 9th to the 14th of September, Starrag will demonstrate why its slogan ‘Starrag is like an orchestra’ will strike a chord with show visitors. As a world-leading machine tool manufacturer, Starrag will present its latest innovations from across the company’s diverse portfolio of high-performance solution-driven machine tools.

On Booth Number 338556 in the South Building of the McCormick Place exhibition venue in Chicago, Starrag will showcase the exciting new Bumotec 191neo that has revolutionized the small-part precision machining sector since its recent launch. Recognized as a complete machining solution, the Bumotec 191neo enables manufacturers to produce parts from bars or blanks. Incorporating new generation linear motors, 7-axes and 3 spindles with 5 simultaneous axes and up to 90 tools – this exciting new arrival will appeal to engineers and decision-makers from various industry sectors visiting IMTS.

At IMTS, the capability of this machine will be demonstrated with live machining demos of complex medical components. One more highlight on the booth will be the parallel kinematic machining head Sprint Z3, the heart of the Ecospeed series for machining aluminium structural parts. It will demonstrate Starrag´s know-how for the Aerospace Industry.

As for the technologically advanced products that will not be at IMTS, Starrag will present its latest turn/mill product lines with technical presentations. A special focus will be on the product lines of vertical turning lathes. Starrag experts will give insights into the enhanced customer benefits of the brand-new machines Dörries VT28 for WindPower applications and the Berthiez VT16 for engine applications.

The machines can also be viewed in Starrag´s new media library. www.Media.starrag.com is a hub for all digitalized solutions. It bundles together all of the digital information the company offers: from brochures, videos and TecTalk interviews through to all digital issues of the Star customer magazine and as a highlight 360°applications and the Bumotec virtual showroom. The Starrag media library demonstrates how virtual technologies enable proactive experiences. This virtual experience will also be transferred to the IMTS booth. Starrag solutions and applications will be presented interactively using VR glasses.

Starrag will be keen to demonstrate how its orchestra of solutions can make your machine shop sing like a soprano. Starrag will also present the merits of its latest machine developments including the new Heckert H Compact Series of twin pallet horizontal machining canters, the STC1250 HD horizontal machining canter and the Droop+Rein FOGS HD 6-axis overhead gantry type machining canter. Experts will be available throughout the week to showcase the groundbreaking technology from Starrag brands such as Dörries, Berthiez, Bumotec, Droop+Rein, Heckert, Scharmann, SIP and TTL – providing a perfectly orchestrated booth display.

The diversity of the Starrag portfolio will be demonstrated at IMTS with the Bumotec 191neo machining small medical parts whilst a range of large components from sectors as diverse as aerospace, energy, transportation and more will also be displayed. Complementing the technology on the stand will be the joint solution of Starrag’s technology partner Pokolm Frästechnik GmbH & Co. KG for machining large landing gears. Pokolm is an industry innovator with a portfolio of products that includes everything from solid carbide tools and indexable insert tooling to arbours, adaptors, tool bodies, shrink fit and high-speed spindle technology as well as an expansive range of accessories.
