🚀 Check out the landing gear! ✈️
For the first time at EMO 2025, you can see an actual A350 nose landing gear…
For the third consecutive year, the Starrag TeMönchengladbach team proudly participated in the STADTRADELN campaign – and the 2025 edition marked the team’s most successful year yet.
With a strong turnout of 40 dedicated cyclists, the team secured an impressive 13th place out of 167 participating teams, collectively covering a remarkable distance of nearly 10,000 kilometres — roughly the distance between Berlin and Cape Town.
This sustained effort not only fostered teamwork and community spirit but also contributed to a meaningful environmental impact. The kilometres ridden equated to a saving of approximately 1,600 kilograms of CO₂ emissions — a volume that would typically require 126 trees to absorb over the course of a year.
To celebrate the team’s shared achievement, participants came together for a well-earned barbecue, where colleagues toasted to their success and the positive contribution made toward a greener future.
“A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who took part with such enthusiasm and determination,” said a representative from Starrag TeMönchengladbach. “Your energy and commitment are what drive progress — not just in manufacturing, but in sustainability too.”
The STADTRADELN (City Cycling) campaign is a nationwide initiative in Germany that promotes environmentally friendly mobility and climate protection through community-based cycling challenges. It encourages teams from companies, schools, municipalities, and other organisations to cycle as many kilometres as possible over a three-week period.
Starrag continues to support this initiative as part of its broader commitment to corporate social responsibility, employee wellbeing, and environmental sustainability.
Results from the Bielefeld location are expected next week and will be shared in due course.
